The Book of Print was a collaborative design project done by our entire class, in which we wrote, designed and made a book from scratch. We each created a double page spread and worked on a part of the book’s production. I was part of the Finishing team, and worked on binding and trimming the printed books.
I also was assigned the topic of “Binding and Trimming”. For the spread I worked within a strict template and focused on small details such as kerning, layout and spacing. I created monochromatic line illustrations demonstrating different types of binding and binding methods.
